911 OR 411

We are so quick to call 911 to get help and of course there are times when you need to dial 911 with out delay. I've heard some of those calls on the TV sometimes or read them on the net where some idiot has called 911 for some stupid reasons. There's this one where a girl (I'm sure she is a blonde, she's got to be) any way, she is inside her car and has called 911 because her battery has run down and she is panicing because her doors are locked. You guessed it, power door locks. The operator asks if she could pull the door lock knob on the door up. Of course she could and you can hear her blushing. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

We are like that in our relationship with God. When we think we are in trouble we "911" Him to answer our prayers and get us out of trouble. So much do we do this that we loose sight that He is always there and loves us so much that He tells us he will provide for our everything. That is where 411 comes in. We need to be "411ing" God regularly to get what we need to handle the "911" situations.

There's a lot in His WORD that can prepare us for any and all situations but unless we have dug into what He has said "WE DON'T KNOW." We don't have it. "You have not because you ask not." I like to say if you want to know what God's will is then you will have to know WHAT GOD WOULD WILL. Now, that will sneak up on you so you need to read it again. If you want to know God's will, you need to know what God would will.

We need to dial "411" more so we don't need "911" so much.
