PLEASE STAND UP, PLEASE
I recently saw a picture with the caption that read, "the only guy standing is the one in the wheel chair." The picture was a parade with the American flag being carried by and the only person in the crowd showing respect to the stars and strips was an cripple old man. I guess some folk wouldn't get it but it's clear to me. That flag represents my Uncle Wayburn who died in Germany during WWII and the many friends that died in Viet Nam. I guess some just don't get it but they probably never lost someone who fought for freedom. I have to stand in honor of the "Flag."
Recently I got an e-mail from a friend who is rather political. The e-mail was about standing up for the president. I guess it is fashionable these days and be radical when it comes to political matters. Not me, I try not to be fashionable in any situation. Here it is.
"I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama.

Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama!

I will continue to respect the office that he holds and I acknowledge his ability as a good public speaker (but only with total reliance on teleprompters) and I will pray for him, BUT that is it! I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that he is a one-term President!

Why am I doing this?
 It is because I do not share Obama's vision for a socialist America.
 I do not share his radical beliefs on abortion.
 I do not share his radical Socialist concept of re-distributing wealth.
 I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (this ceiling has changed three times since August).  I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%.
 I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage.
 I do not share his spiritual beliefs, whatever they are (at least the ones he has made public) they change periodically. In an interview he once said "my Muslim beliefs." Atheist mother and Muslim father...who knows?
 I do not share his socialist agenda of nationalizing the U.S. health care system.
 I do not share his strategic views of the Middle East, and certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran. Many see him as weak and ineffective.
 I resent his derogatory, anti-American comments about America on foreign soil!
 I resent him telling foreign countries that "America is not a Christian nation"!!!
 I resent his weak, unpresidential behavior by bowing to a Muslim king and then flat lying about it when the media caught it on tape!
Does he think Americans are blind and stupid? Well, Mr. Obama, we're NOT!

Bottom line, my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my God to do what is right! So, I will stand up and fight back against Obama's unprecedented power grab with his polices and agendas that I deplore!

For eight years, the Liberals in our society, led by many entertainers who would have no platform or no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family and his spiritual beliefs!

They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country! They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except those who disagree with them!

They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years. They have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country!

They have made every effort to remove the name of God or Jesus Christ from our society! They have challenged capital punishment, yet they think the brutal and barbaric slaughter of the most innocent, the unborn, is alright! And, they disparage and say hateful and vicious things about anyone who doesn't agree with their murderous beliefs! they challenge the right to bear firearms and the most basic principles of our criminal code. They have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech! Unite behind Obama? Never!!!

I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of Evil! Obama is a curse on this nation and he will bring her down if he's allowed to! Wake Up America!!

PRESIDENT BUSH made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he was a man of morals and he weighed his decisions in light of the long- established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!

Majority rules in America, and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and "his goals for America."

I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country!! Any more compromise is more defeat!

I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist, anti-God crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America!

"Error of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it." (Thomas Jefferson)

God bless you and God bless our Country!!! And God save us from Barack Hussein Obama."
Well there you have it. There are a lot of things that will not be mentioned about these few words copied from an e-mail, but there must be one thing added. This message could have been read from the steps of our national monuments and no one would have lost his life for speaking his heart, his beliefs or a combination of the two. This is the United States of America and there is no other nation big or small like it in the world.
Maybe there should be one more thing to say that's not said. You can "stand up" if you want to or maybe not.

"I didn't know that..."

Recently I've heard several reports on TV that might indicate the President elect Obama might see some thing differently now that he has been briefed on some of those things the only "presidential folk" know. Maybe but i do know this, There are all kind of things being said that are not only stupid but straight out stupid. I over heard someone at work today say "... president Obama is going to do that for us and he wants to do it before Christmas." Well, good luck. Just because somebody thinks that Obama said it and it sounds good for you, doesn't mean that Obama said it or will do it. Poor Obama, stupid folk saying stupid things that would be great for some but impossible for all. Well, they voted with these miracles in their minds and now they expect the miracles. Good Grief! Give the man a chance before you start asking him to part the waters. If i were the president elect the first thing i would check into would be the Roswell thing and that area 54 stuff. OH YEA! There's got to be a lot of neat stuff about that. Then I would want to see the stuff about the killing of JFK and Bobbie Kennedy. Oh well, Obama is and I'm not so, good luck in putting out all the fires created by those stupid folk that didn't hear with their ears but heard what other folk thought they hear from a friend of a friend of a friend.

What would MLK say?

Sorry but i can't help but share things that i fine important for everyone to hear. Martin Luther King Jr. is a strong figure in our history that made a large difference in many mnay peoples lives. His legency continues today to all young people, not only children of color. I have a high respect for what he accomplished and think if he had not been killed we would all be better off.
this article speaks alot to how he might see things now.

What would MLK say?
by Marcia Segelstein Visit Marcia Segelstein's blog
The candidacy of Barack Obama cast a spotlight on his pastor and mentor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Seeing and hearing some of what Rev. Wright preached from his pulpit was a revelation of sorts to me. Call me naïve, but I was unaware of the undercurrent of anti-white sentiment that ran through churches like Trinity, and found voice in ministers like Wright.

Throughout history, much evil has been perpetrated in the name of Christianity. And there is no denying the racism and hatred that black people have suffered at the hands of whites in the past and in my lifetime. Nonetheless I was shocked that in 21st-century America people who called themselves Christians could act in such a way and expect to get away with it. White racists like David Duke are duly villified by the media. Black racists – well, there aren't any I guess. In Denver this year, we watched as a black man accepted the Democratic Party's nomination for the presidency. And while I don't agree with Senator Obama's political views or his stand on virtually every social issue, it was a moment of historic significance. It was a moment that should have made all Americans – black and white – proud.

Denver was host to another historic convention back in 1956. That year, the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered a sermon at the National Baptist Convention there which, according to eyewitness accounts, gripped the crowd of thousands. The sermon was called "Paul's Letter to American Christians," and King would deliver it again a few months later from his pulpit at the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church nine days before the Supreme Court declared Alabama bus segregation unconstitutional. In this sermon, King reads an imaginary letter from the Apostle Paul written to Christians in America. Here is a portion of it:
"There is another thing that disturbs me to no end about the American church. You have a white church and you have a Negro church. You have allowed segregation to creep into the doors of the church. How can such a division exist in the true Body of Christ? You must face the tragic fact that when you stand at eleven o'clock on Sunday morning to sing 'All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name' and 'Dear Lord and Father of All Mankind,' you stand in the most segregated hour of Christian America. They tell me that there is more integration in the entertaining world and other secular agencies than there is in the Christian church. How appalling that is."
He goes on:
"So I would urge each of you to plead patiently with your brothers, and tell them this isn't the way. With understanding goodwill, you are obligated to seek to change their attitudes....Always be sure that you struggle with Christian methods and Christian weapons. Never succumb to the temptation of becoming bitter. As you press on for justice, be sure to move with dignity and discipline, using only the weapon of love. Let no man pull you so low as to hate him."
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright's preaching bears little resemblance to the Christian message King was preaching during much more difficult times for blacks in this country. Wright preaches that "white man's greed runs a world in need." Wright preaches that "the government gives them [blacks] the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law [and] then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no. Not God Bless America, God d--- America!" Wright declares from the pulpit, "Who cares about what a poor black man has to face every day in a country and a culture controlled by rich white people....Jesus was a poor black man who lived in a country and who lived in a culture that was controlled by rich white people. The Romans were rich. The Romans were Italians, which means they were European which means they were white!" After the attacks of September 11, Wright preached that "America's chickens are coming home to roost," because "we have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans" and "the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front yard." We brought it on ourselves. Wright gives a lifetime achievement award to Louis Farrakhan, who openly proclaims his anti-Semitism, calling Judaism a "gutter religion" and Hitler "a very great man." Martin Luther King stood up for blacks, fought against racism and segregation, and ultimately gave his life for those causes. He also preached the gospel of Jesus Christ, not a gospel of victimhood and hatred. I cannot say what he might think of Jeremiah Wright. But there is no denying what he preached. This is from one of King's sermons called "Rediscovering Lost Values":
"[W]e have adopted a sort of pragmatic test for right and wrong – whatever works is right....No matter what you do, just do it with a bit of finesse. You know, a sort of attitude of the survival of the slickest....It's all right to lie, but lie with dignity. It's all right to steal and to rob and extort, but do it with a bit of finesse. It's even all right to hate, but just dress your hate up in the garments of love and make it appear that you are loving when you are actually hating."

The New Improved USA?

It seems to me that this election will prove in time to be the turning point for us all. If McCain is elected, no matter what his beliefs and policies, will the Democratic congress work with him or stone wall tell another election. Is it a thing of "if we can't do it my way i take my ball and go home." now i realize that today most people can't understand that analogy because today there are lots of folk that make balls of all kind and there are more folk that will give other a ball "just cause." Maybe they think that if they give you A ball then you'll owe them something. Who knows where we are headed. If Obama is elected does that mean that we are all "saved." Does what he say mean that we are just a heart beat away from peace and tranquility. I got this email today and it speaks volumes.

"Should We Pull Out Of Chicago?

A little ACORN can grow into a rotting tree.Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago!Body count in the last six months:292 killed (murdered) in Chicago; 221 in Baghdad.Chicago? Who runs it?Senators: Barack Obama & Dick Durbin,Rep: Jesse Jackson Jr.Illinois Gov: Rod Blogojevich,Illinois House leader Mike Madigan,Illinois Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike),Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J.Daley).Our leadership in Illinois.....all Democrats.Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago. Of course they are all blaming each other! Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country.(Look 'em up if you want).Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country. This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois and he's gonna 'fix' Washington politics for us!"

Good grief! that's pretty extreme. Yes I did say it. I don't think it it's Obama's fault that Chicago is the way it is, but it also speaks to his representation and leadership in that state.

GET OUT AND VOTE AND THEN SHUT YO MOUTH AND SUPPORT THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE, NOT THE JACK ASS OR ELEPHANT AND NOT THE BLACK OR WHITE.

MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION IN HISTORY

The point in my history that I remember most vivid would be when JFK was shot and killed. I know right where I was standing when my elementary teacher told my class. I didn't understand the gravity of what had happened until I was in high school and signed up for "the draft". I lost several friends in Vietnam an didn't want to go and die in some foreign land but I was willing. Lucky for me that Johnson screw us and tied our military's hands so there was nothing else to do but take a knee. If JFK had not been killed I'm convinced that things in "NAM" would have gone different and things would be much different today. This time in our history is an extremely important time for us. It is a point that will determine where our future will go, left or right. Now I'm more of a middle person, the middle being what is right to do. Our elected officials today, in my opinion, do not speak for the people but for their personal beliefs. Where is the will of the people gone??

I would like to share part of an article that i received today that speaks very loud to my "personal" thoughts on this election.

"The upcoming election is the most critical election in the history of our nation. The very future of our nation’s foundation is at stake. Every person will be affected. If the liberals win, then our foundation will no longer be based on the traditional Judeo-Christian morality. It will gradually but assuredly be based on an ever shifting, ever moving foundation. If the liberals win, the damage can’t be stopped with elections two, four or forty years from now. America will forever be changed. We will keep seeing a gradual and growing hostility toward people of faith, especially Christians. The morals of our nation will continue to decline. Our children and grandchildren will pay the price.
In case you may think I’m a “the sky is falling” type of person, you should know: When it comes to predictions, I am a very reserved person. But not on this one. I cannot overstate the damage a liberal victory will do to our country. The upcoming election is the most important in the history of our nation. Yes, if the liberals win you will lose some of your religious freedoms and free speech rights. Churches and pastors will not be exempt. You will not be allowed to say certain things about a particular group. Every item of the homosexual agenda will be approved. All the laws protecting the unborn will be wiped away.
I cannot overemphasize the importance of the Nov. 4 election. That is why I urge you to vote and encourage your family members, friends, Sunday School class and church members to vote. America’s future – the future of your children and grandchildren – is at stake.

You must make your own decision but I have made my decision and will be voting for McCain. Although I do not agree with everything that Mr. McCain says I can not take a chance on my grand child, William the Great's, future being filled with a lot of anti Christian "stuff" that will only create a more sinful nation lost in misdirection by a person who associates with those in the world that are evil. I don't think he will have to live off the nation and I don't want him to have to pay for a bunch of light weight people who are brought up to think that the nation is going to take care of them no matter what. I want those people to get up off their mostly fat butts and work. I work for me and mine, how about you.

GO VOTE, LET'S MAKE A CHANGE BUT THE RIGHT ONE!

NOBAMA

I had forgotten that I had posted a little thing about Mr. Obama relating to his relationship to law enforcement and folks in uniform but I was reminded of it today when I received a comment from an anonymous commenter. "The Commenter" states "you should be ashamed at yourself for reproducing it."

Now you have to get the full picture so let me give it to you. This is what "the Commenter" has to say: Blog entitled Obama in Battle Creek or something like that if you care to go back and read it, I didn't.
"This would be almost believable if the author didn't know that the third word in the name of the organization is "Officers", not "Officer's". (no possessive!)So let Jason Kern come forth - MTOA has no record of him and this is not reproduced on the MTOA website! Another fiction aimed at Obama - you should be ashamed at yourself for reproducing it. Why not go back to the old rumor about McCain's out-of-wedlock black child from 2000 in South Carolina? Spread courtesy of W.'s henchmen, of course! "

Well "the commenter" let me say this to you and any others that feel that they need to comment. PLEASE DO! That's what America is all about. Look, this is politics if you didn't care to pull you head out to see. There's no real place for you or me because we don't have the money to pay our way into office and why would we. Somebody has to work! It is not about one person either, whether it is Obama or McCain. It is about the People of the United States of America. The ones that are alive and the ones who are dead, dead, dead. The ones like my Dad, who is dead now but gave time and sacrifice in Europe to fight the Germans. The ones like my uncle who died in a forest in Germany. His body still lies on a hill in France, far far away from his home and family in Tishimingo County Mississippi. Yep, small town folk, the backbone of our nation.

It is no secret that I will be voting for someone different than Mr. Obama, but it won't be because of his race, his relationship with the military or any person in uniform, not because of his association with a certain "pastor" that preaches hate or even his Muslim background. Not even because of his lack of experience or shady associations with people outside the USA. I could and it might be easy for many to select any one of these things to use as justification to vote for another person instead of Mr. Obama but I simply choose to vote the way I think is best and let others do the same. It is no one else's business. I CAN NOT BE BOUGHT AND MY MIND IS MINE TO USE AS I HAVE TRANSFORMED IT BY THE RENEWING OF IT DAILY IN A WALK WITH THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE, THE CREATOR. Christ was once confronted by a certain leader about his power. Christ statement to him was "You have power because God allows you to have power." Who ever wins the office of President of the United States of America will have assume power and authority but it will all have come from the all powerful God of the universe. If it were me I would be careful how I used it and I would make sure as my friend "Reverend Platt" of the Church of Brookhills in B'Ham AL might say "feed the poor and cloth the needy or something bad might happen to ya."

By the way, "the commenter" if I come up with some other titbits to post related to Mr. Obama, be ready for them and I'll be ready for your comments.

Oh, one more thing please excuse my grammar and spelling. Sometimes I get excited and hit the wrong key or something. You might want to check your writting too because I think it should say "you should be ashamed "of" and "at". Of course I'm just splitting hairs now, aren't I.

Obama in Battle Creek e-mail

OK I'm getting political but I'm feeling the conviction to do something with the election so close. I got this e-mail from an old friend. Telling a story? I don't think so.

Obama in Battle Creek
Please pass this along to everyone that you have on your e-mail list because this is just the beginning if this arrogant, egotistical, super liberal, president wannabe gets into office.... To all, I have read all of the emails from not only some of the MTOA board members, but from other Law Enforcement & Military personnel about Barack Obama's rudeness and what seems to be disgust for basically anyone in uniform. Well, it's my turn to add to the list of emailers and here it is: So members of the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department, MSP, and other local agencies inside Calhoun County are working with Secret Service in the security of Mr. Obama. Mr. Obama's bus arrives in Battle Creek and pulls into the stadium area. Before Mr. Obama exits the bus, he has the Secret Service get off and tell all Law Enforcement personnel in uniform that they now have to stand behind the bus so Mr. Obama is not seen with anyone in a Law Enforcement uniform before he gets off or while in the public view. So, everyone from MSP, Sheriff's Dept., and other agencies looks at each other for a brief second, goes and stands behind the bus out of sight so Mr. Obama does not have to see, or been seen with, what to him is 'undesirables' since he refuses to been seen or even acknowledge Military or Law Enforcement. At a time of war and terrorism in our world, this presidental candidate who is being protected by various branches of the military & law enforcement at the tax payers expense, refuses to acknowledge, be seen with, have in his photographed background, any type of Military or Law Enforcement in uniform. But this i s not in the media or headlines in the news. Why? I wonder what the story or media frenzy would be if it was muslims, blacks, whites, jews, or any other race, gender, religon, and/or occupation, that Mr. Obama refuses to be seen with or have around him. Why would Law Enforcement branches make this up? Law Enforcement traditionally has had more funding under Democrats. Just food for thought leading up to November 4th.
